P.S.  We will be leaving July 2, flying St. Louis to New York to Helsinki (Li'l Sparrows first time in Europe!) to Bangkok, where Michael will meet us.  It will be early morning July 4 when we arrive!

S.E.A. ( Sparrows Excited about Asia!)

A little background for those confused by the "Sparrows" thing...it seems that, as children, Linny and Kathy decided to make a sisters' club.  We searched for a suitable "s" word to go with "sisters" as the title of our club, and rejected, off the bat, slugs, snakes and sloths, choosing sparrows as the least icky choice.  So...the Sparrow Sisters were born!  Now, some fifty years later, Sparrows are about to take flight!  We're headed to southeast Asia to visit Kathy's son Michael and his wife Wei.  They have been living in Phnom Penh where Wei works with an international organization that assists young girls in leaving the prostitution trade and Michael teaches at an elementary school.   We'll travel with Michael in Thailand and Vietnam, then join Wei in Cambodia for adventures there, ending our trip in Singapore at Wei's family's home.  Join us here on our adventure--our first trip to Asia and our first attempt at blogging!
